How To Select the Proper Hook Size

1.  Measure the belt thickness (use hook gauge) and pulley diameter.

2.  Determine the possible options that could be used, based on the appropriate hook chart.

3.  Select the proper hook from the hook specification charts.

4.  If hook specifications overlap into more than one size select the fastener which best meets your needs.  NOTE: If maximum strength is of primary importance, choose the hook with the argest diameter wire. If low profile is needed select the hook with the smallest diameter wire.

5.  Select the type of metal which best fits your application requirements.
